The Heart Comes Home Christmas Home Tour
I’m so excited to be apart of Tree Classics 12 Days of Christmas! Welcome to our home! Kick off your shoes and grab a cup of coffee. Let me show you around.
Christmas really is the best season to decorate the house. The lights, the sparkle, the smells, nothing can beat it! And with two children in the house, I’m always trying to see the decor through their eyes.
Our first room is the office. This is our Peacock Tree. The tree is the Alpine White Tree from Tree Classics. I’ve never had a white tree before, but I have to tell you, its absolutely my favorite tree in the house! I can see so many possibilities with it. If you have ever wanted a white tree but weren’t sure which one to get, I can honestly tell you, do not hesitate, this is it!!
I found these adorable peacocks early in the year and knew I had to create a tree around them. It’s a magical room that the kids have been using as a craft room during the holidays. It’s also our reading tree. We wrap 23 books and each night of December the kids open one and we read it together as a family. The 24th book is always The Night Before Christmas and its read by grandpa!
The kitchen and dining area is really the hub of our family. I’m currently working on refurbishing an old oak table and I just couldn’t get it done in time for the holidays. So this bar table will just have to do!
I used mercury glass ornaments on the plates with candle holders and a deer found at Home Goods. Added some fresh greenery and it was simple and perfect for our family.
I also used this metal orb centerpiece from Lynch Creek Farm for a party that we had and it was just divine! By the way, I get ALL of my fresh greenery from them. So fresh and smells heavenly.
Our Living Room has a 10 foot tall tree that is decorated in a Silent Night theme this year. The Silent Night Angel Tree Topper and the gold finial ornaments are from Tree Classics. It was actually the Angel Topper that had me create the theme around her. I even made ornaments out of vintage sheet music to add to the tree. This is my husband’s favorite tree yet!
We kept the fireplace room simple this year with the Classic Fraser Fir Wreath and Garland from Tree Classics. I like having a wreath that isn’t predecorated so that I can add my own personal touches and change them up depending on the theme. I love that the wreath is on a timer so I set it and don’t have to worry about it all season and that’s a nice thing when it’s hanging 15 feet up!
We have another tree in our bedroom for a little twinkle in the evenings. My husband helped me flock it last year and it was one of the funnest projects I’ve ever done!
Of course my house tour wouldn’t be complete with out our celebripup Charlie. He’s always trying to win your heart.. . You can follow him on Instagram if you need a smile or a laugh!
